Having just moved to Bonn in the last two weeks I wondered if any of the nearby cities in the area were showing the World Cup games on big screens in the main squares, i.e. Köln or Bonn itself.

Large public TV screens for World Cup watching
In Bonn and Cologne and elsewhere in NRW
I wondered if any of the nearby cities in the area were showing the World Cup games on big screens in the main squares, i.e. Köln or Bonn itself. 
Kinopolis in Bad Godesberg has some games live.
There is a big screen in the main square in Bonn, here is a link which might help.
