TV aerial male-male converters

I recently moved into a new flat, and wanted to watch tv in my bedroom.

The problem is the connection to the aerial in the wall is incorrect, ie. it's the same as the connection in the back of my tv.

My lead/cable has a female and a male connector, so I can't get a reception.

Does anyone know an electrical shop where I can get a connector converter (Male/Male or Female/Female) ?

That wall sockets for the radio, dont think you can get tv on it.

If it's a standard coaxial connection, then most electronics stores (conrad is probably your best bet) will stock them.
I embarrassingly enough still know the Dick Smith Electronics part number from my old dickies days of that item...it's a P2424, not that this is even marginally relevant.

Its a standard male-female Tv fly lead... its either the whole of europe that has it wrong or the UK!
