No incoming phone calls on an ISDN line

...having inherited a "eurmex 200" box - why?

I took over an apartment recently and with it came a "eurmex 200" ISDN box. I have subscribed and been connected with T-com and I can make calls but I can't receive any mad.gif I spoke (in broken German) to one of the T-com people and apparently I need to save my numbers on to the "eumex 200" as the old numbers are saved there and thus my new number doesn't work. Can anyone tell me how to do this as I can only find German manuals and my understanding is too poor at this stage to get by...

Google for the software or you can probably find it on the T-kom website.

In the set-up mode you enter your MSNs and Hey presto!

These guys could help too!

Can you be more specific about the phones you have, etc? You might not need the Eumex box.

The Eumex 200 Manual is available online (but in German only).

"Easiest" way to do it is probably straight from the telephone - you need the bit about "Von einem Telefon konfigurieren", and hope that the PIN hasn't been changed (i.e. is still 0000).

By the sounds of it you just want to delete the programmed MSNs (if you don't know what that means, you'll have to hope I know what I'm talking about here!) - the steps should be

1. start config mode: lift handset, press the R-button, dial 8, *, 0, 0, 0, 0, (hear the positive signal), replace handset - if the PIN has been changed then I guess you'll get a negative signal (whatever that sounds like)

2. delete all MSNs: lift handset (hear internal special dialtone), dial 9, 0, 3, #, (hear the positive signal), replace handset

3. close config mode: lift handset (hear internal special dialtone), dial 8, #, (hear the positive signal), replace handset

on any incoming call, all attached handsets should then ring - if you want a more complicated setup then I recommend a crash course in German and ISDN technology!

Thanks for the replies - I'll give the advice a try and hope for the best!

Or better still re-set the system to factory settings:

(lift handset on attached phone) Dial:

R - 8 - * - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - # (should hear tone) - 9 - 0 - 0 - # (should hear tone - replace handset)

"R" key is the signal key. If not marked "R" it sometimes has a single large spot, or circle with a "V" in it
Assumes, as before that the system PIN has not been changed from the default "0000" if it has, and you don't know it, then you're stuffed.

Apart from clearing MSNs this also clears any call forwarding or other setups which might get in the way of normal use.
