A couple of us are heading to the festival on Sunday evening weather permitting.

If anybody would like to join us I would suggest meeting at 18:00 outside the Commerzbank at the Höhenstr. U-Bahn station. Plan subject to change so watch this space.

Let me know if you'd like to come along biggrin.gif

Good idea - was just about to post something about this myself.
See you there.

PS Someone mentioned that there is some sort of festival at the Waldstadium as well this weekend - anyone know anything about it (will try and read the newspaper this arvo to see if anything is there...)

Hi Muffin

Was searching for a festival or 2 to attend this Sun/Mon, and haven't been up to Frankfurt for a bit for my chinese DimSum-fix, so may well come along! Will keep eyes on arrangements here if it changes. BTW, I'm not a local frankfurter so any directions would be welcome!

Easy peasy to get to. From Hauptbahnhof take the U4 direction Seckbacher Landstr. (Bornheim) get off at stop Höhenstr. up the escalator and you'll see the Commerzbank biggrin.gif

For all of you that were slightly disappointed with the "sky arena" last night, if you look at these photos it looks much better than in real life!

Thanks Ben!

I wouldn't say I was disappointed but didn't really think there was much point to it. I kind of thought it was something I could have watched on TV at home. Correction it was something the bf could watch on TV at home whilst I polished my handbags or something tongue.gif

I must say, that last night I watched it again but from the comfort of the area given to sponsors (got some tickets from work) with a perfect view of all buildings and thought it was much better seeing it as a whole, rather than up close and personal with just 2 screens as on Sunday night.

Anyway, it was good to see the people of Frankfurt hitting the streets - bodes well for some World Cup mayhem!

Was a good lil' street festival. Went on Sunday, bought loads of crap (great bargains), and drank lovely Caipis all afternoon in the sun! smile.gif
Purple Muffin
It was good fun yes!

I decided to wander down yesterday as well and ended up buying a new pair of roller blades and a couple of bargain tops. Then decided to go out on new roller blades. BF is still learning and fell over whilst trying to see if he was ok I went smack on my arse so am in agony. He however is fine! Typical
UrbanAngel
Do you have black and purple blades? smile.gif
Purple Muffin
No they are black and grey but if I see purple ones there will soon be a pair of black and grey blades on ebay. laugh.gif
