Who said you were a newbie? Don't get your panties in a wad lad.
I said bollocks simply because I disagree with your statement about the song being too gloomy for a karaoke night like last night. I distinctly remember a lot of people singing along with it and having a grand old time.

@Blimeygirl
At this point I'm looking for enough water to drown myself in and relieve myself of my misery.
Who got piccies to post? I know somebody do.

Morning chaps and chapesses or whatever...
Who was singing about terrorists? Anyhoo. Blame me for choosing the singer as I think it i a lovely song and expertly mastered by Mr Pootle too... I was not depressed by it. In fact I distinctly remember singing along to it! Anyway. I am leaving, so you better start getting fucking depressed about the fact.
Thank you everybody for turning up and I just hope you all enjoyed the night! Will be out for one more shinding on Tuesday at Augustinerbräu/keller/garden thingamywhatsit in the Arnulfstrasse so please come along. Again.

Dunno, but my head...wait for it...still hurts.
Crawlie, you were brilliant last night. I haven't had so much fun at karaoke EVAH. Am only disappointed because I wanted to sing "Cry" by Godley & Creme in your honour, but it was unfortunately not on the playlist.

Hail to the chief! Shame your leaving Crawlie, Dear Chasey Lane will never be the same without you...

Ah yes. Another not on the list. We have quite a few I would have liked to have but could not find. But then again we also have quite a few that I really do not want to be anywhere near when sung...
I Will Survive is a great example but that is up to Wahoo to sort out now. She knows the drill. If somebody even requests IWS she is well within the law if she shoots them... That and Stairway to Heaven
Ooh. Chasey Lane... IW good idea.. So, who is up for GM's on Sunday night?

Don't feel too badly about the missing tunes, Crawlie. I don't think anyone has heard or even thought about
"Cry" since 1986. Damn good song though.
I was also going to do "Erase/Rewind" by the Cardigans, but I think everyone had had enough after I did my not-so-famous turn as Kiki Dee. You can all thank me later.
I'm in for
GMs. If my head doesn't explode before I can get there.

Bleedin' 'ell! If I'd have known that these two beauties would be there I would have risked the wrath of Mme Sin and snuck out last night.

Who remembers what the girl in white sang? (Yes, I remember her name) It's the last song I need to label my pics.
EDIT: ok, no name for her pic.

IIRC, she sang 'Black Velvet' by Alannah Myles. Anyone can verify?

QUOTE (Friday @ Jun 24 2006, 2:27 am)

I have to say though, that "Wake me up when September ends" is hardly a good choice for a evening like that, it really put me into a funk thinking about terrorist atrocities in which thousands died.
It must be really hard to be in your world. Theres lets of songs what can mess with peoples heads - if you'd just like to list all yours, we can make sure they are removed from the song book...
Actually lets just stop the singing. Lets have a humming evening instead
