a certain German former boyfriend of mine once passionately kissed me in the produce section of a grocery store,

There's gotta be at least half a dozen jokes in there.

What can I say - the guy was a true romantic.

I was going to say something else about salads, but I just don't have the energy.

Here's what bothers me about the type of PDA under discussion:

1. They guy usually has that "here comes another fatherless baby" look about him.
2. I often get the feeling that it is some sort of "prove your love" bullsh!t; "See how much I don't care about the other people, honey!" Strikes me as insincere (unless it's in the U-Bahn or a Park at 2:30 on Saturday night and they're just drunk)
3. The active pair often have the gaul to give you that "what are you looking at" look!

Of course, most of this is just my gut-feeling, which is hard to back up in any structured way. smile.gif

I think taking pictures is a good come-back. Also, if the couple just moves off the main path against a wall or into a corner, it helps loads. Shows a bit of respect for the rest of the world.

Nuthin wrong with it AFAIK. Seems the people who don't agree with it are those who aren't getting any at the moment, am I right?

It annoys me because it makes me feel jealous, but that doesn't mean I disagree with it, in fact quite the opposite. I don't tend to go around complaining about other people having/doing things that I want.

a certain German former boyfriend of mine once passionately kissed me in the produce section of a grocery store, and when I pulled away in embarassment he was genuinely puzzled. "In Germany, this is very normal," he said, and he was right.

It's a little bit like that in London, Treacle. We like to shag the tourist girls and then say, "Oh! Don't worry, in London this is very normal." wink.gif

Gertcha!

If you don't like the PDA in Germany, try Italy. They consider PDA a competitive sport.
Sin
Actually - I should be honest (for once). It has been known for me and a few mates on a bus in London to see a couple knoodlin' in an erotic fashion, unload our emergency supplies of condoms, and then throw the condoms at them while shoutin' encouragements like, "Take 'er 'ome mate! Quickly!".
Yeti
Ah, looks like you suffer from PDA (Prophylactic Dispensing Attacks).
Sin
Droll Yeti, very droll. tongue.gif

Is breast feeding a PDA? Should it be banned?
Kay
Certainly not! Breastfeeding belongs to Emergency Supply Services. biggrin.gif
Yeti
Depends on the age of the baby.
Kay
You're right. And it's a well-known fact that some men never grow up! rolleyes.gif
Yeti
Some ?
Sin
Did somebody mention boobies?
brokenm
I don't think anyone is against breastfeeding in public due to the exposure of the breast. It is just rude to eat in front of someone without offering to share.

I don't consider myself to the kind of gentleman, who displays this type of information on a public forum. cool.gif
