Police Raids in Munich
Apparently at circa 3am last Saturday (29.May.2004), about 50 police descended on a popular gay dance club in Munich looking for drugs. They ordered the music stopped, the lights turned on and told people not to move.
Over at least the next hour (that's when my source got out and he was one of the first ones out), they searched people's pockets, their shoes and their wallets, counting how much money everyone had. Before anyone could leave, they also had to give the police their name, address and phone number, all of which was carefully noted down.
Is this a common occurence and procedure in Munich? Is anyone aware of something similar happening at a straight club?
