There are 2 things I have in mind right now, going back to Munich and go to cooking school. So, does anybody knows if there is any cooking school which located in Munich (the course should take atleast 6 months) and if there is, are there any teaching in English? and if there are none in Munich where is the nearest one? The nearest one I could find now is in Krem, Austria
Thank you in Advance =)

I seem to remember seeing one, I -think- it was between Isartor and Maximilianstrasse when you walk up, there's a Mexican on your left, and a bit further.. or it could be somewhere totally different, I can't remember

here are my google search results for "kochschule muenchen"
http://www.haralds-kochschule.de/http://www.kochschule-wirtschaftswunder.de/kursinhalte.htmlhttp://www.kochkurs-braren.de/kochkurs_koc..._kochevents.phpassuming you can read German, that is..
you could also try the
Muenchener Volkshochschule who do some intensive courses which are full days.
Schubecks the fancy place next to the Hoffbrahaus runs a cooking course but its expensive, 500 euros. I think there's an American that works there, Danny, who you could contact - he might know a place or people that give courses in English.

Chef Jürgen Kling lived in San Francisco for 10 years. He taught at the Culinary School at SF City College. He returned home to Munich 4 years ago and is still trying to figure out why.
The dream which is starting to feel more like a fantasy is to open a small restaurant in Munich and then a second location in Austin, Texas where the beer garden concept can be enjoyed 12 months out of the year.
PM me for his personal details. I live with him and have to clean up his messes in the kitchen, would be great to send him along to dirty up your kitchen. Or if ya want to do a group class, he can use the kitchen at the Bondi.
happy cooking!

what "kitchen" at the Bondi? They used to have great grub, and now all you get is microwaved goo.
Anyway, the VHS (see other post) does loads of cookery courses and some are in english. But I'm not sure about ones lasting 6 months...

A biergarten in Austin would do incredibly well. God I miss that city... it is kinda like Munich but more liberal, with closer lakes, cuter girls, MUCH better weather, and they speak a language very similar to English.
/vows to live in Austin one day

ya got that right Gen, but it's the only way to become a certified chef here. There are no 6 month courses that will give you a certiifcate stating you've acheved Chefdom (new word just made it up)
speaking of cooking, my mouth is on fire! I made a habanero infused oil for Drivin West and thought I would put some on my salad and call it dressing. WARNING! there is a pretty good chance Drivin West will have to hottest chili at the cookoff this weekend.
