Hi there,

the other day my girlfriend came home with some duplos and discovered that there are these flippin german football team stickers in it. Now she started collecting em. Is somebody else collecting em to exchange some?

I'm starting getting fat eating all this choc. HELP!!

ohmy.gif NOOOOOO!!! My step-daughter came home with the book and a pack of stickers last week and she just won't stop it now. I keep telling her the thing is totally useless until she has a full set of England players.

I presume you refer to the Panini Collectables. Good business this. They distribute FREE collecting books throughout Europe then charge €0.50 per pack of 5 stickers, with 596 to collect in the worldcup series. It seems that Schoolkids Europe-wide are going crazy buying, collecting, swapping. A little bird tells me that some stickers are available in reduced quantities, increasing the number needed to be bought to get a full set. On average one needs to buy 180 packs to complete the set without swapping, so the distribution chain turns over around €90 per completed book with a raw material cost of less than €5... Nice business if you can get it...

FREE collecting books? bullshit, try 1E...

And if anyone wants to swap PM me for a list of the ones I need and the ones i have to swap! wink.gif

Mine was free - event the €1 price-tag (back cover, bottom left) is overprinted with the word "Gratis"... Panini are printing 75 million tickers per day to keep up with the demand, with Mexico, Italy and Germany being the top three collector nations.

I would love to let you guys trade with my kids. I came home the other day and found that they had about 20 of the little stickers - on the footboard of the youngest's bed. sad.gif And MrDDBug watched them do it! mad.gif
So - you can come over and take any of them you want, you just have to scrape them off the wood without destroying them or the wood.

Just stand outside any school entrance (but try not to look suspicious)

hmmmm, think I might be on some register somewhere already!

nah kidding (no pun intended!) but I was hoping there'd be some kind of meeting around town for these things like they have in Prague and that. Apparently after work every day thousands of people meet up in a square to swap...anyway, I'm just tired of it now, just want to finish and get it over with...
