
Last year 200 contestants rose to the challenge, the DAV is expecting a similar turnout this year. There are four groups: Children (up to 12 years), Youth (13 - 16 years) and women/men. On Saturday, the contestants have six hours to master two routes in the wall and boulders of various grades in the complete climbing center, which means that all of the contestants can climb simultaneously due to the open mode of the competition.
Registration is at 9am, the competition begins at 10am, the final is planned for 6pm. Registration fees are €10 for children and youths (8 - 15 years) and €15 for adults (16 years and up) with a surcharge of €5 for registrations on the day of the competition. You can register online from the DAV link. The fee covers a bag lunch with a drink, a shirt, magnesium and much more. The first three winners receive prize money, the childeren receive brand equipment as prizes.
On Sunday, it's the young boulderers' turn as the German Bouldering Championship (Category Youth) kicks off at 9am.
