Surely something like "Sachsenhausen" would make more sense!

Ahhhh Sachsenhausen...

I used to live in Klappergasse, next door to O'Dwyers.

Used to wile away the hours in The Anglo Irish, An Sibhin, and the Irish Times - I always thought the Irish Tims would have been a better name. wink.gif

You mean O Dire's biggrin.gif

I thought the Lokalbahnhof name was also something to do with the bar there of the same name?

You mean O Dire's

Absolutely, it is a hole!!
Memo
And I lived in Frankensteiner Strasse, the riverside entrance to Alt-Sachsenhausen...

Heh...

I lived on the Mörfelder Landstr. in probably the greatest flat in FFM - I had a direct view into the firemen's changing rooms in the fire station opposite.
Best flat ever.
Good pub that Lokalbahnhof, had my leaving bash from a certain yellow airline there.

tongue.gif and why exactly did you move my dear? Madness if you ask me!

I have a view of the ugly naked people just like in Friends.

Now I think about it, I must have been mad. Had Hit around the corner for beer, that really great pizza place down the street and the best sight in FFM outside of the window. I never did buy curtains biggrin.gif
Wee Mun
Pizza Petro will never be topped in Germany!!

Memo, when were you there?
Memo
@Wee Mun
January 2000-May 2002

But after I found work in November 2000, I was only there on the weekends.
Wee Mun
Where did you drink? I was always in the Anglo Irish at that time. probably less than 50m from where you lived !!
Memo
Yup... It was. We sometimes went there, but there was a great Thai Restaurant/Bar in my building, with a nice little garden. That's where we usually went to eat and drink.

My fondest memory of living in Frankfurt was jumping from the Eisenersteg at 4:00 AM after a little too much fun in Sachsenhausen. Ah, the good old days.
