One of the more interesting aspects is the new fee structure - based on time present. Which in and of itself sounds like a good deal - if your child is not there the whole time you don't have to pay the whole fee - until you read the fine print.

If you have a kid in daycare here - talk to your Elternbeiratsrepresentative and make sure they are doing something about it.
After the way German parents rolled over and played dead when the book fees were implemented, and played blind when the director of the Munich school system was scheduled to defend his position of larger classes it seems they need a bit of a push to try and make a change or defend their children's education.
Remember - we are tax payers, too.
