Dinner and cocktails in Frankfurt

I've a group of 6 lads heading up on Saturday for flights to the States on Sunday evening and we are looking for suggestions on where we can go for cocktails on Saturday night and dinner once we arrive. So somewhere central would be prefered not in Bornheim (sp?) but places in and around the Zeil or back towards the Opera place.

Also if you know of any places that do happy hour and food please tell me !

Oh and Bornheim really is no distance from the centre at really only about 10 minutes on foot.

Bull n Bear is quite good for a beer and reasonable for a feed.

there always Yours Australian Bar also. There is an Irish bar in the basement, it's Aussie food/cocktails/beer upstairs.

Went to chicago-meatpackers.de on Friday in the end and had some of their food which was great (a little slow to come from the kitchen), try their ribs.

But as for the cocktails, don't bother with them, there wasn't that much alcohol in my Mai Thai , in fact after 5 I was able to drive the rental car to the hotel. Originally we had planned to leave and get a taxi but I was totally sober after 4 hours and 5 drinks !

Yowch. But why didn't you learn after the first 2 and just order straight shots instead cheaper and faster!
