Yahoo! Mail server problems
Anyone else having trouble at the moment?
Is it only me, or can others also not access their Yahoo! Mail accounts? I mean, I can't even pull up the front page of the mail.

I keep having to enter the text in these stupid images before I can send an email; now the images aren't loading so I can't send the email...

Completely irrelevantly, has anyone switched over the new Yahoo! Email Beta version? I ran it for a couple of weeks but it was soooooo sluggish that I've switched back to the old one.
I used it for a while, but as you said, it was a little slow so I switched back to normal mail; when I don't use a client that is.

I have switched to the beta version and so far it's working fine.

Yeah, I haven't been able to get in all day either. Sure it'll be up and running later.
Couldn't access mine last night, today it's been fine though.

i get into mine but generally nothing more than from top down to and including the search mail box comes up. annoying.

Must be due to the Yahoo Answers section!
I think they are overloading their servers with that feature - I bet there are more people asking and answering in there than the number of email and voicechat users alltogether, worldwide...

mine seems to be back to normal now.
i remember a couple of years ago i filled out some online help form as i couldnt get into yahoo mail for 4 days or so and eventually someone from a totally different company phoned and sounded well narked that i had bothered to get in touch. weird.

I have been in and out of yahoo.com mail all day without any problems at all. Yesterday though I could not get into yahoo.de.
I had just updated Outlook 2003 and then I kept getting errors saying that I was unable to send/receive emails. Needless to say that I spent ages checking settings, then trying to phone BT Internet (I have BT Yahoo email) blah blah blah... I eventually came to the conclusion that it was a coincidence that my email went down after updating Outlook... but what a pain in the arse!

Quickly ??? Not!!!
Hey, Yahoo.com (just as yahoo.co.uk) is a FREE service for everyday users, after all... what would you do if you had to PAY for each single in- and out-email??? If you ask me, I'd probably go bankrupt.
If they have a problem on the server, let them fix it - don't expect such high standards on a free service...

I don't really follow your logic, Julia. As a free service, Yahoo! relies entirely on advertisers. If their service is regularly unavailable, people will quickly change email provider, the advertisers will stop advertising and Yahoo! will go out of business.

The spokesperson said QUICKLY, and it surely was NOT quick. I struggled all day Sunday to get into my Yahoo mail, and was only able to do so on Monday.

If you can't get in on http://www.yahoo.de then try http://de.yahoo.com instead as that's what the .de URL redirects to anyway.
For some reason I'm not getting my emails on Yahoo until hours after they are sent... Not normal. Anyone else having this problem?

Hi, I don´t usually post but need help. It´s been more than 24 hours and I can seem to connect to the Yahoo homepage. Only the German and UK pages are working but you can´t log on to the email. I have no problems surfing other pages though. Is anyone out there having the same problem?

Some problems accessing certain pages (want an IE or Firefox update) but you can work around the problem. Email no problem.

Oh dear, I don´t know what to do then! I could not access email or the yahoo pages at all. And I am not sure what to do because my pc is in German. But thanks so much for checking!!!
I have been starting to have problems accessing certains site too...
It appears that 1und1 and switching their backbone network over to
mediaways.net (Telefonica), and there are some major routing issues..
I have tried running traceroutes to many different web sites, almost half
of the fail somewhere in the MW network..
Maybe YL6 can use his contacts to get these fookers to fix their $hit
