Forecast for Saturday still looks bad
Why does it have to be sunny during the week and rain whole weekend long?

Have faith. That forecast has changed a couple of times in the last few days.

depends on how much you trust weather sites...
http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/europe...locationID=2064would seem to be promising a reasonable day!
I would like to come too... but I also want to go see the FA Cup Final

Come at noon, stay for a few hours and then head off to watch the football. That's what some are doing.
Yes, I prefer your weather site. 0mm of rain would do just nicely.

We have 27
signed up so far. Remember, the more the merrier and everybody is welcome, even if you only joined the site today.
We will definitely need extra grills so whoever has one, please bring it along. I only have one and that won't be enough. Please post if you can bring one. If you have a transportation issue then let me know as I will be driving down there on Saturday.
Now, think sunshine.

Just been down and checked out the location. It's directly at the back of the Thalkirchen Camping (Zentralländstr. 49).
If you're coming by car, head for the zoo and turn right onto Zentralländstr just before the zoo. The car park by the site is 1km down the road on your left.
If you're coming by public transport, bus route 135 (which you can get from Thalkirchen U-banana station [U3]) stops directly outside it or just walk the 1km down to the site.
And we could still use an extra grill. If it all goes ahead as planned and we have about 30 people then mine won't be enough. Even if someone can bring some of those disposable BBQs that you can buy at most Tankstelle.
PM me for my phone number if you need a contact.

Yes. I will be bringing one BBQ and there should be at least one more. If anyone else can offer, or as I mentioned, pick up a few of those little disposable jobs then that'd be great. Bring along whatever you want to cook, eat and drink.

Sorry if this post seems to be a bit negative, but thought I should share the following info with you.
The area where you are planning to BBQ, is not actually a designated BBQ area. Whilst there are normally people BBQ'ing there, there are sometimes "rangers" that come along, and fine people for having BBQ's.
I have seen this first hand a number of times, as I have been using that area over the past 3 years for some summer relaxing.
It is quiet often the case however, that the rangers will turn a blind eye, if the BBQ is raised off the ground... Ie it isn't burning a bloody great hole in the grass.

btw re the bus stop -- it's Floßlände. When you use
http://www.mvv-muenchen.de/en/index.html you can always type in a street address (in this case, Zentralländstr. 49 as Keydeck posted earlier) so you don't even need to know the nearest bus stop in advance, it tells you.
