Even as a City fan was cool to see henry get a hatrick and rightly see the old stadium out
Sin
dry.gif This IS The Arse we're talkin' about bluedave.
bluedave
yeah but i'm an old romantic Sin and i have no love for Spurs either so mir egal who got the last place smile.gif
Sin
We should start outside tips for next season. I reckon Newcastle will be the surprise package mixing it with a closer top 5. If Henry goes in the summer, The Arse are knackered.
pepper
Also will be interesting to see what happens at Man Poo if van Nistelrooy goes. But the top 4 will probably be quite close to the top 4 this year, just a different order.
bluedave
If Liverpool manage to get SWP and Nistelroy the horse i think they are gonna be the team to challenge Chelsea.
potbelly
Feel so gutted for Spurs...NOT laugh.gif

Come on the Gunners on the 17th.
Moonboot
come on Barca on the 17th!
potbelly
Boot's... Goona have to have words with you mad.gif
Moonboot
yes, such words as 'congratulations on Barca winning they really are the better team aren't they?'
bluedave
Gotta support an English team in Europe, i even have a confession to make that i supported The Stretford Redsox in the final against Bayern a few years back ph34r.gif
Small Town Boy
Well, I don't think Arsenal are much more English than Barcelona. OK, so their stadium is in England, but other than that...

Tottenham can hold their heads up high, knowing that they have a young, English squad that will only get better as time goes on. Arsenal's bunch of geriatric foreigners are on the way out!

We're not talking abuot the players, rather the team itself.
Arsenal = English team in English Premiership League.
Barcelona = Spanish team in Primera Liga.

Just couldn't resist adding these 2 pics to show what the root cause of the food poisining might be and Spurs' shirt sponsor for next year biggrin.gif

A slim chance, but still a chance:

Lassie
sore losers. get over it, Spurs just aren't good enough biggrin.gif
Jimbo
Well, if we're not good enough over the duration of the season you proved yourselves to be only 2 points better...and even then you had to rely on some dodgy Malaysian poisoning our team...
Lassie
2 points better is still better.

and we still have a chance to win a cup this season
Wibble
So what happens if they do replay the game and they win and Arsenal win against Barcelona? Spurs will still be in the UEFA Cup. Spurs should accept they had a pretty good season and give it a rest.

What happened when Boro cancelled a game in 97 due to lack of players because of a bout of flu? 3 points awarded to Blackburn and a further 3 points deducted. So would people then have said that if they had played the game and lost , that it should have been replayed? I very much doubt it. Same case with Spurs except they played, lost and didn't get 3 points, Boro were also docked 3 points.

Birmingham and Newcastle also had lots of injuries this season so should they replay some of the games where they had lots of players missing?

If and it is a very big if, it turns out the the players were deliberately poisoned then they have a chance at least. If not, forget it.

I still might win the lottery tomorrow. About the same probability.

Yeah, a chance biggrin.gif

Just read this with disbelief!! huh.gif Even if they find that some bitter arse fan added his or her own special ingredient to the Hotel food, the game should still not be replayed. The only time games should have a special reason to replay is when someone dies.
bluedave
Very disappointed in Spurs doing this to be honest, smacks of sour grapes and i thought they would be bigger than this sad.gif
Crawlie
And how on earth can they get it replayed fairly, under similar conditions to the end of the season? OK, so they play it, say iin 2 weeks time. The Tottenham team is fully rested and West Ham have played an additional game so that gives Tottenham an unfair advantage I'm afraid. Sorry, but as shitty as it is, they will have to put up with the result...
Crawlie
Appeal rejected I have to say that, although I feel very sorry for Tottenham, the league had no choice but to reject the appeal. There is no way that this game could have been replayed under the same conditions as last time.
