Silly Point - hopefully you are around then!

Will post details tomorrow after I have been and found a good meeting point
If anyone has any suggestions for meeting or wanting to come post them here!

And if you fancy coming down today - I am on my way to An Sibin

Hello!

We aren't in Frankfurt during this weekend, but will be in the Frankfurt area from May 22 - May 29th.

Could pass by Darmstadt (since we live in Langel) fancy a drink during this time?

Best regards, Chris

PS. Already have a din-din on May 27th.
Billy
Hi there

I'd be up for a meeting in Darmstadt this weekend if there's something happening. Couldn't make it this weekend, hope you all had a great time! Keep me posted!

A very Definately Maybe... smile.gif

Any ideas of meetup place yet?

Well if Andy has anything to do with it the place which sells Maß cheapest will be where you'll be meeting.

Sadly I cannot come as I am going to build a raft and sail away tongue.gif

Hey price is no object where a Maß is concerned biggrin.gif I will even pay more for a Maß than the equivalent in normal Glasses blink.gif

Ok the Plan! I will be getting to Darmstadt for 1:00. I would suggest meeting in Luisenplatz at the eiscafe - they sell beer too - checked yesterday! Problem is I don't know what it is called but it is on the south east corner of Luisenplatz next to the shopping centre (Can any Darmstadt residents help me here?). Take a tram from the Hauptbahnhof and get off at luisenplatz and the cafe is on the right (lots of tables outside on the square)! We can then head up to the fest at about 3:00 - the no 5 tram goes direct to the messplatz the 6,7 and 8 go close - get off at Rhön ring and walk north along Frankfurter strasse and take the 2nd right - takes you down to the fest.

Let me know what time you fancy coming along and I'll arrange other meetup places if necessary

I think the sign just says Eis Cafe actually... Basically if stand in the middle of Luisenplatz and look towards the church with the big dome, its on the corner on your left.

I don't think I will be around in the day as I have to work but might catch up with you in the late afternoon/early evening if you are still around.

Take a tram from the Hauptbahnhof

But Darmstadt Hbf would be a so much better place to start than Munich. What's all that about? unsure.gif

Ok this is getting confusing!! I think this board now automatically adds Links!!
And yes it should be Darmstadt Hauptbahnhof (lets see if it does it again!)
hel
Hi,

I'm up for coming up to Darmstadt this weekend. That's assuming that non Frankfurt/Darmstadt people are allowed??

Hel.

oooooooh, i dunno about that wink.gif ...whadda we think folks?
deatr28
Anyone come come along so long as they don't expect me to speak german - as I can't... well except to order beer biggrin.gif
I guess I will print a union jack out and stick it on the table in the eis cafe so those that don't know us can find us! Or look for a lot of beer on the table!
Will post final info later in the week!

Don't worry about speaking German cos mine is crap too! We'll see you there but don't expect me to go on any of the fast moving, up, down, back and forward rides, not unless you want to see me chuck my guts up! laugh.gif Think I can manage the bumper cars though biggrin.gif

Looking forward to seeing you all.

I think a long time local should be part of your party.
Me and Hellie will be there.
this should make us a veritable Bilingual bunch then, if it comes to verbal disputes between native and english offenders. biggrin.gif

Ok well in case I can no longer log onto the britboard after tonight blink.gif
Plan for Saturday is: Eiscafe in Luisenplatz from 1:00 till 3:00 - to give time for people to arrive
then catch tram to messplatz and find a beergarden - there are 3 there - one in a tent and 2 outdoors!
Probably best to go to the one in a tent which is in front of the pendulum ride - as it is a big ride you can't miss (freefall from 100 metres) holds 10 people if you are interested!
We can then move on later!
Still waiting to see what the weather will be like but forecast at the moment is good!

I will check the BB on saturday before I go so if you want to meet up later PM me your mobile no and I will let you know where we are biggrin.gif

Cheers

Have planned to come up to Darmstadt now to meet new folks, and am staying over, hoping to catch up on some alcohol as I've been alcohol-free for 3 weeks cos of this stinking cold and antibiotics! No more drugs, finished them, so can get down to the serious business of enjoying myself.

Looking forward to meeting you all Darmstadters! Billy
deatr28
Ok so the forecast is light showers for tomorrow! So I guess it will be the bar under cover at the fest!!
I was looking forward to another day in the sun! Always the way - work all week in glorious sunshine then
cr?ppy weather for the weekend!
Anyway looking forward to lots of drinking and will enjoy myself regardless of the weather

See you all there

Andy
