QUOTE
Some 67.5 percent of Germans expressed opposition to having closer ties with the United States following the latest US visit by German Chancellor Angela Merkel who has made deepening transatlantic relations a top priority of her foreign policy...
... According to an opinion poll released on Friday by the private German television station kabel 1.
So 2 out of 3 Germans oppose close ties with America does it? Yeah right, pull the other one it's got Bavarian Kuh bells on it!

I would say that is about right in Munich too. 2 out of 3 don't want to be closer government wise, but 2 out of 3 would love to be closer people and business wise.
I'm not really sure that as many as 1 out of 3 want closer ties to their own bleedin' governments, let alone anybody else's.
