Just to hit the Wiki - Bayern München has won the German soccer (aka football) championship for the 20th time (record, of course) today with a 1:1 draw in the 68th minute against
1. FC Kaiserslautern (16th and in danger of relegation) at the so-called Betzenberg in Kaiserslautern after trailing 1:0 since the 23rd minute. After their 13th Cup (record, of course) win last weekend this championship is a hum-drum kind of event and was deservedly treated as such. The players had been warned that giving the coach a Weißbier shower would be frowned on as he was not pleased at the performance last year (same place) and had not brought a spare suit.
Congratulations to Frankfurt Eintracht who managed to stay in the
Erste Liga against all odds.

Well, today was the official last match against Dortmund 3-3 final score. Fab atmosphere, and good game, but which one of yooz was waving the England flag in the North End??
At the end they repeatedly played "it's coming home, it's coming, football's coming home..." If only!
Brilliant to see all the FC Bayern fans lining the
Leopoldstr. on the way home. Anyone going out for a drink tonight in preparation for the real festivities?

Bayern won again woo woo... The German league is getting like the scottish premier league, i.e. totally devoid of any talent apart from within the top couple of clubs. Bayern will always be there or there abouts and win titels en masse. They really need more competition but it won't happen within the next couple of years

Suppose cause it was 'Bollocks' last game before heading to Chelsea, and they were feeling sentimental.

no, this was the last game of their career for jens jeremies and Lizarazu (the guy in pic). bollocks was more third in line in regards to feeling sentimental.

i am not a bayern munich expert but i remember those players from 1998/99 when i cared a bit more about the team. so i feel a bit sentimental. the only football shirt i ever owned was jeremies ;-)

I wondered what the noise on
Leopoldstrasse was. Strange how in the stadium it's usually quieter than Highbury 'the library' and yet they can drive up and down Leopoldstr beeping their horns like little children in their first go-kart and yet make bugger all noise in the stadium.
Admittedly I have only been to about 20 Bayern games in the Olympiastadion and 1 in the new stadium.

No no. as is Bayern's way, they ensured that everybody blamed him for the drop in form over the last few months and that he treated them unfairly blah blah blah. I think the treatment of Ballack from the Bayern bosses was diabolical over the last few months and proves just what bad bad losers they are. Ballack was more than justified in his stance against them.

Of course they are. Because they are true. FCB has done it many many times over the years as it is the only way they can cope with losing top players. So, turn the fans against them with, what can only be described as, a hate campaign and people will eventually learn to hate them and start saying how useless they were anyway.
Michael Ballack - German Footballer of the Year in 2002, 2003 and 2005. Must be a useless tosser then musn't he?

Have only been to 10 1860 games, they have lost every time. I said this in German to a german 1860 fan sitting next to me, and he replied in perfect english "Well don't fucking come back!!"

Can't help thinking that Ballack is going to be found out in the Premier League, life is nt gonna be nearly as easy for him as in the Bundesliga, anyway we'll see

Not sure, I reckon he will actually be under less pressure in the chelski team. At least he will not be as heavily relied upon as he was at Bayern

I think the biggest shock he's going to get on moving to Chelsea is the media/papparazi intrusion!

He is lucky LeSeaux is no longer there or he have got an anal intrusion!
