Frigging, cheating, rip-off HIT: When I buy ground beef/pork on 2 July that is "best by" 3 July and I open up the three packages on 3 July and a stench like the abbattoirs of Chicago hits my nose I wouldn't mind engaging in a bit of hitting myself.
Change of plan: No cevapcici, bacon/onion buttermilk bisquits instead, and if I get up early tomorrow morning breaded chicken nuggets as well. Clears my freezer, too.
P.S. The artichoke hearts are perfection and the cream cheese spread has tons of pizzazz!
Another brainwave: Please, please mark your containers somehow! Put down the contribution and who provided it so no one helps himself to something he actually doesn't like, and just in case a container gets left behind or goes walkabouts. Don't forget serving spoons, salad forks etc.

Hope the weather is good...
I'm "working from home" tomorrow, so will try to get there early to snag tables.
Looking forward to meeting everyone & my first TT event!

So would Brits be shot on sight? Small chance I might pop along at the start if not.

Of course not! We are not evil and vindictive

I think we stopped shooting at Brits after they burnt down the whitehouse or something like that.
You're one of the gang anyway. Just wear levis, drink coke and eat some weird dessert concoction and you'll fit right in

You are not one of the gang you are a traitorous dog and will held in breach of the codes of war. Rebelious Colonists will be rained upon.
God told me this.
Signed King George. King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland; King of Hannover; prev. King of Great Britain and Ireland; Elector of Hannover and that place over the Big Water Wassisname.
With me dating an American it might be useful for me to get some cultural tips.
Thought it was Diet Coke you lot drank?
I have a theory that Al Quida have it all wrong. The quickest way to bring the US down is to bomb the Diet Coke factories.

Seriously yes, you're welcome.
Tonight I went back to the store and brought more napkins and paper plates.
Could one or two people volunteer to bring plasticware, especially forks? Thanks.
If any newcomers are concerned about finding a group of five score Amis, you're welcome to PM me for my mobile phone number.
And just for review: Here's the

Pessimist!!!
However, we could always attack the FBG and take over - but we can't bring food there.
I was just out and about, and it's actually fairly warm outside though. So I think we'll be fine.
Friendly banter aside , the location for Friday Night Drinks would probably be large enough to accommodate everybody. Might need to phone ahead if you chose to go there.

Well it
is American Independance day, but somehow, over here, it feels like we lost, so you might as well.
Don't fear the weather, people. The forecast is for nice, partly cloudy conditions by noon today ,with only a 10% chance of rain.
It won't be as hot as yesterday though, with highs around 73° F.

Hi all, I'm new to this site: I'm an american living in Munich since 2001 and I was just now told about Toytown from my german colleague. Incredible but true. Oh well, better late than never. And precisely for the 4th of July!!! That's great. Well I already had plans for tonight but I'll see if I can change them and come to what it seems to become a great 4th of July celebration. If I make it I'll also bring something, corn on the cob or something else. I'll be happy to meet you people.

Corn on the cob sounds fabulous!
I unfortunately won't get there as early as planned to help hold tables, due to work. The earliest I think I can manage is about five. I will be bringing skinless chicken breasts and some cordon bleu type thingies (thawed all by myself).
