I tried this once and hated it. The damn thing caught fire and sank. Have learned a valuable lesson that:

'You can't have your kayak and heat it'!

Is this course run through German or English??

I'd be interested but not much point if I don't understand what I'm being told to do biggrin.gif

I don't know which it's in, but if it's in German, think of it as an opportunity to learn some.

I was thinking of that issue as well, but I quite agree, kayaking is a very physical sport (as opposed to chess) and if you see the movements and hear the instructions it could help you catch on. Just listening will give you lots of practice and it's less stressful than German lessons. Chances are these guys speak at least some English as they do international events.

def interested (don't care if i don't understand a word can still watch and follow/learn esp since i know most of the stuff already-it'd just be fun to be in a kayak again!) but if it does start at 5pm as Chicago said prob won't work sad.gif

what day is it again? i know starting on a mon, right? but then they're not sure?

Starts on Monday 8 May at 5.30 pm but other dates and possibly times will be decided on then. I'm not into this, I only saw the notice in the Süddeutsche Zeitung and passed it on wink.gif

Yeah I guess it could be a way to learn/practice my little bit of german biggrin.gif

But if it starts at 5pm then there's no chance for me to make it sad.gif

i just called to confirm there were still spots free. there are. they just reminded me to print out the online registration form, fill it out and bring it with. if any tt'ers want to join but are nervous about the language issue, i'll be happy to help with any translation on monday.
Izabella
just a reminder that this course starts today for anyone interested

Tonight's class meets at 5:30. Tonight there will be some theory, and the group will come up with a class schedule that meets everybodies' needs. Those of you who can't make it regularly at 5:30, but can swing by tonight, perhaps the group will decide on later times. Just a thought.

i'll be leaving from Schwabing (Muenchener Freiheit) at 17.00. if anyone wants a ride down, PM me before then.
