This week pop pickers it's "Golden Age of Radio " by Josh Ritter.

Josh Ritter is a young singer/songwriter from Moscow. No, not that Moscow stupid, but Moscow, Idaho.

'Golden Age of Radio' is a real toe tapper of a track. It creates a feel of the wide open spaces of Middle America that compliments the brilliant and insightful narratives.

Brilliant stuff. Download this track now.

Ok, drug users. This week's track of the mo' is "Bum Leg" by Joe Pernice.

Another alt-country track reminding me of the Byrds. A woeful narrative about a fellow more than a little down on his luck.

"There's a cut on my eye from a dirty little shit,
who tried to rob me under the bridge."

Combine this with lovely guitar work and a surprisingly simple but mean-sounding riff and you've got a winner.

I was once a little down on my luck when I was unemployed some years ago. Luckily I found God and I haven't looked back since. Regular income, free accommodation, a housekeeper and a organ. What more could a man ask for? Praise the lord.
