We are doing some tests here and I know there are some SE guys/girls who have worked there. Does any of you know why the at+ckpd is not working?

For those of you interesed the answer is below.
The way to send keypad control commands are done with the at+ckpd command and has the following syntax AT+CKPD=<keys>[,<time>[,<pause>]]. When sending the right and left soft key however you have to take one extra steps to get it done.
First you have to switch from the default GSM set character table to the 8859-1 set character table.
at+cscs="8859-1"
