Does anyone know, or know of a way to find, the number for British Telecom (BT) when dialling from abroad? I need to cancel a UK phone line, and their website has had me going around in circles for the last half hour trying to find it. I'm looking for an internationally accessible version of 150/151/152 or whatever the standard number to talk to them about your account is. Thanks!

cheers guys. In the end I found a pdf version of a BT mobile bill, and phoned the number on that. They then transferred me to the standard BT (after I waited since my phone here makes pulses not tones...)

For future reference, the number I got through with was +44 800 0322 111

Sorry but BT Germany and BT UK are totally different Depts. BT Germany deals more with International
data lines and Int. corp. phone networks. BT UK are the ones that are Responsible for the UK Domestic home lines.

ohmy.gif No really I never knew that!!!
what I meant was they would at least have access to the internal phone book so could advise him of the right number to call internationally, TBYP

@Jelly
Perhaps.. But they rarely even do this for companies under SLA and paying BT millions every month. What makes ya think they'll do it for the Avg. joe with a standard phoneline wink.gif I have a list of aprox. 15 different BT offices I have to call for different problems, cause all the different depts. don't talk to each other, and can't be bothered to xfer calls or give propper phone numbers out. This is not only a BT problem, but a problem all over the Telecom industry.
