Cocktail night proposal

I have had a number of cocktail parties on previous birthdays which have gone very well. I usually picked 3 or 4 alcoholic cocktails and two non-alcoholic ones. I wolud like to organize one this year (but not on my birthday as it has already been and gone) and am looking for a venue to do so. I suggest we should share the costs between all participants so it would need to be well organized with money up front, plus I don´t have a car so I would need somebody with one for transportation of glasses, bottles etc. If this is a success, it would be nice to have a annual do (or more often if there is enough interest). Suggestions for venues, offers of help organizing etc. are welcome!

If I understand you right with venues you mean somth. like a party place, where we get the drinks from the supermarket and mix our own drinks. etc. ? Well my ex-girl friend could help me with a party room in a student residence. And I could bring DJ material.

I don´t want to spend the whole evening mixing the drinks, anyone can have a go (maybe try out new ideas).

ER and myself have quite a bit of experience in hosting our own cocktail parties for a select guestlist of 2; myself and her. If you need tips on how to mix a coctail that will knock someone out after half a glass, let me know.

I'd be keen to join to cocktails - can't mix them for shit though. My last homemade concoction was Absinthe, vodka and ginger ale - not great!

Ah no Uncle Nick, cocktails and I dont get along. I was just trying to be helpful with the venue suggestion. If you have it at a place with glass windows, I might come by to watch though.

I've learned how, just need a bit more practice till I can consistantly make them well!

anyhow, count me in for interest, but giving even a vague plan for time/venue would help a lot.
