Comedy in Hamburg

Anyone up for checking out the cream of britcom?

When was the last time you wished you could switch on the tube and laugh uproariously at the shenanigans and madcap capers penned by some of the world's best comedy writers?

Comedy aficianadoes in Hamburg, listen up, because it's about time we did something about the staple of cheap German comedy and dubbed American sitcoms we are limited to watching on German TV. There is so much comedy - new and old - out there to discover and why not try and discover it together?

Whether it's sitcoms, stand-up, film or complete lunatic anarchy you're after, I'd be glad to hear about what you've got and where we could take a look at it together!

And if you're wondering about my credentials, my own little collection boasts some of the newest and weirdest titles to be emerging on British screens (and stages). Just check out what I would love to and simply must share with someone who can appreciate it:
  • The Mighty Boosh
  • The Worst Week of My Life
  • Ideal
  • Green Wing
  • Spaced
  • Alan Partridge
  • Blackadder
  • The New Statesman
  • Nathan Barley
  • Spaced
  • The League of Gentlemen
  • Black Books
  • Bill Bailey
  • Dylan Morran
I hope we can get some momentum into this project. God knows, the winter's been no laughing matter up north, has it now?
