Well, after the pesky gits took it upon themselves to key my car to pieces the other week mad.gif - I need to get to work on fixing the damage. Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent car spares shop (a la Halfords) where i might be able to pick up touch up paints and stuff. I'm guessing there may be somewhere down on Hanaulandstr.

There is one on Hanauerlandstr. but the closest one to you would be the one on Homburgerlandstr. up Friedberger then left at that first big junction with lights drive straight on and you are then there!

That is what I imagine Halfords to be like anyway I never shopped there in the UK!

Erm... well i dunno about that wacko.gif i can think of a million more interesting pastimes than hanging out in a care spares shop !!! But i guess it is kind of a typical british 'sunday shop' along with garden centre's and B&Q!!!

@PM - cheers girl, that looks like the place i'm after...

Obviously I know naff all about cars I think you lot know that. So there might be better/cheaper/bigger places somebody else might know of!

I had no need to go to Halfords in the UK everything I needed was in my Dad's garage!

AS Muff says, ATU is a good shop, and if they ain`t got it then they will order it!
They also do parts "not original" for fraction of the price cool.gif

ATU is good for trying to con their customers out of their hard-earned euro.

They told me 4 years ago that my starter-motor was in need of replacement, 1000euro. I decided against their "advice", and by the time I sold the car (3½ years later) the starter-motor was still going strong...

They broke my rear brakes, which turned out not actually to be in need of repair...

On another occasion, I had to get my exhaust silencer changed three times in one week, as the inferior quality shite they sold me was louder than the broken exhaust-pipe...

I now know better.

My advice, go anywhere... except to ATU

There's also Mike 'n Franks - a place that specialises in stuff for American vehicles. Besides the US specific parts, they have quite a bit of customisation and DIY repair products.

They are at www.mnf.de on the web and Hanauer Landstraße 439 in Frankfurt.

I thought No. 10 was after spares and not looking for a mechanic?
My experience ATU does spares, quite cheap! As for repairs, no idea!
would take my car to a werkstatt and not a spare parts shop!

They do sell cheap parts, but only cheap in terms of quality.
ATU is actually a Werkstatt, they like to fit the cheap parts they sell.
