Went to Fritzpatricks Irish Pub last night, was very big and live music was on. Food was very good Fish & Chips looked good and the Irish Stew had loads of meat and veg in it!! I had a Lamb Curry extra hot and that was good, Veela had a Shepards Pie.

you should also come to the Jameson Irish pub in the Rhine Ruhr Zentrum. we don´t have much on the menu as far as traditional Irish food but it is a very fun place and we have a lovely beer garden.

Albeit about a year and a half after the original question, but still.

When I used to live in Essen I was oftern down Fritz Patrick to have a chin wag and a few drinks. Always enjoyed it.

I've known the manager of Fritzpatrick's for umpteen years (he used to be co-manager of an Irish pub near Cinemaxx in Essen). I can recommend it.

Hey everyone,
I've been in Essen for a couple months now. Just wondering what is a good day to head to the Irish Pub. I m from Canada and playing hockey in Essen. How is the pub on Sunday or Monday nights? Is there any other good places to go during the week. Thanks for the help.
