I just saw a blurb about new legislature for bicyclist starting the end of this quarter that now all bikes have to have a "parking" light shining at all times from the rear. I don't have more infos, but what the hell is this about?
gideon
true... but it needs to be fixed on by a left handed screwdriver.
Elfenstar

They'll be wanting to introduce a registration plate next. First you register the frame in building F on floor 02, followed by the wheels, registered in building B floor Z (But only on Wednesdays between 5.30am and 6.15 am)

And finally, it's all TUV approved every 2.2 months.

Skint, there WERE murmerings of that in the papers a couple of years ago!
Big C
@skint - you forgot about having to have your registration form stamped in corridor x before even going to building F!
skint
I have much to learn.

Then all the pawns will be in place for a bicycle RFID that limits the amount of time spent in the downtown area and charges your account everytime you go by one of those big brother cameras. ph34r.gif

This applies only to brand new bikes from the shop which should be equipped accordingly anyway...

You realise you need to be a fully registered bavarian, german, cyclist, light owner and battery user for any of this to be possible!
gideon
do not forget the written test (poccistrasse), birth certificate (translated with stamp and signature from some obscure person who charges alot), proof of id (must have more than six months validity left), two black and white passport pictures no bigger than 3x5 cm (no smiling and no headgear especialy no headscalfs), a letter form your employer, your rental contract, proof of purchase (for the bycicle), doctors note (to prove that you can ride a bycicle after six weissbiers), note from an optitian, a print out of your record at flensburg and 30 Euro.
