We put in a phone in a temporary address (expensive mistake as we moved after 4 months) and cancel it for the 1st of the year, at the same time we signed up for email bills rather than paper. We it turned out that they never cancelled the phone and someone else used it. It wasn't till we got several manungs for unpaid bills that I started looking into it. Well to make a long story short, I got my next bill by email and its a credit for 99€. I guess they looked into it and noticed that the phone was canceled a while ago.

But to keep things even a friend had his DSL turned off by mistake as Judy put it

No access, Boo Hoo !
Deutsche Telecom turned off our DSL access - "sorry, it was an accident" !! We are now waiting for 6 working days so that it can be turned on again. They will try not to charge us for turning it back on, but in case they do, we will need to call them to complain again. This is German Customer Service.

Mark is bouncing off the walls (though I do notice that the house is looking cleaner since the internet has been down ...).
