Essener Newbie

Hi All,

I have been lurking a little on the Britboard for a few months now (in between lurking on Toytown Munich that is) so maybe it's time to introduce myself? I am a relatively new resident of Essen (moved here from Munich in the middle of September last year), but am originally from Australia - Sydney to be precise. (Please don't hold it against me!)

When not at work, my main language of communication tends to be German (slightly crappy but functional nonetheless), however every now and again it is nice to read/communicate in my own language, so it is nice to have an outlet such as BB or TT.

I am looking forward to contributing to discussions on the Board from time to time (which is mostly likely to occur when trying to avoid preparing work for the following day - like now!)

Ah excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean by 'food-from-home van stripping Hagen Lot'?

It is alleged that when Steve's van comes to Hagen, it leaves Hagen empty.

Just as well he doesn't come to my area, i have to order online and he delivers to me...costs more but at least I know Bully hasn't raided the stock!

Can you post the vans time-table please. Am interested in buying some English nosh.

This was a name given to us by Mickey who has is two stops after Hagen, well on this particular day we the Hagen lot supposedly stripped the van clean of food. Not really true as i think there was a tin of beans left...
