I've just had the Old Trout on the phone making my ears bleed over daughter #1's Zeugnis and what a crap system it is here in Germany. I must admit that I could find no grounds to argue with her.

Her test marks bear no relationship to her Zeugnis score and the comments scream out "personality clash!!!" with a couple of teachers, so how do we go about addressing this. Obviously we will be going into the school to talk to the teachers/Head, but my feeling is that they will close ranks and it will be to no avail.

Is there an external body that we could contact for this sort of thing i.e. a department in the LEA?
