Punks

Whilst shopping my local supermarket the other day, I noticed that a group of teenage punks were attracting quite a bit of attention as they made their way round the drinks section, selecting a crate of beer and a couple of bottles of some schnapps. There were 5 of them, 2 girls and 3 boys, all around 18 or so I would guess. Full punk gear - dyed, sculped hair, pierced everything, ripped tights and t-shirts, doc martens boots etc. Everyone in the shop was staring, whispering and moving out of their way (obviously not me - coming from London I find all that trés passé biggrin.gif ).

They were in front of me at the checkout, so I got to hear them discussing which were the "hardest" cigarettes you could get and how pissed they were going to get that night at some really wild party.

As it got to their turn to pay, the punk girl at the front got out her wallet...and pulled out the Pfand receipt huh.gif

Can just imagine all these really hard punk-types going "No, don't chuck that bottle over that guy's head - it's got a deposit on it!" laugh.gif

Only in Germany, methinks. wacko.gif
