Syrup substitute

Just thought I'd let you know that it seems that Graftschafter http://www.grafschafter.de/start/index.html
seem to now make a Heller Sirup and a Karamell Sirup in addition to the Zuckerrübensirup discussed as an alternative to Golden Syrup in the Bicarbonate of soda/cream of tartar previous thread.

Don't know what others think but I would have said that maybe the

Zuckerrübensirup is a bit like dark treacle?

The Heller Sirup a bit like Golden Syrup?

and the Karamell Sirup a bit like maple?

Could be wrong but just thought I'd post and let all you other foodies out there know!

The caramel is not so good, unless you like that sort of thing, not really mapley. Tried it once when looking for a golden syrup substitute for a treacle sponge.
