Hi All,
I have my own small little business in Frankfurt and was wondering if there are any other smaller or bigger English businesses here that I can use for things like printings, legal issues, tax issues etc. Maybe we can give each other some business or provide a couple of jobs for English speakers in the process? It would be much easier to do some of the business in English biggrin.gif ...my latest experience with having stuff printed was rather painful and my German is quite ok!!!

Just an idea...
Tommy
Yebo,

I run a company in Frankfurt also

if you like we could meet for a coffee.
PM me if you want to meet up.

Cheers

Hi there!

As somebody who spent 6 months of 2005 out of work (due to my poor German it must be said), if either of you do look for English speakers in future, i'd like a chance to talk to you. I only live 25kms from Frankfurt and have a train stop 100m from the front door too! It must be good for more than waking me up at 5am as they pass the foot crossings blaring away mad.gif

I am unemployed too but the problem is often not the language but the fact that British qualifications differ to German ones. In Germany you mostly need an apprenticeship in something. Our BA degrees don't count for much here.

Hi,
I was afraid to be kicked off if I added what I am doing! Do you want a photo of me or my business...? biggrin.gif I do event management, logo and website design and I also do quite a bit of work in English, like financial analysis.

On a different topic...I would like to get into touch with people who place IT people here in Germany. Any suggestions?

Those looking for jobs can also PM me, sometimes clients ask me if I know people looking for a job.

only when editor bob is in a particularly nasty mood, just kidding, he does a great job, under you profile you can list a personal website.

rules for posting

1 Posts written entirely in a language other than English. The occasional sentence or two in another language is ok.
2 Clear cases of spam - eg. if someone from South Korea shows up and attempts to sell organ enlargement devices.
3 Posts containing highly objectional material, i.e. pornography etc

If your selling South Koren organ enlargements let me know, i'm soon to be over the over the hill and never know if i might need something like that tongue.gif

What exactly are you looking for? I work for an IT Consulting company, we supply people to implement computer systems etc., or are you looking for a HR-Sourcing company? Then I would suggest progressive recruitment, they are quite active in Germany for IT people.

Thanks Laddie,
I am actually only looking for somebody who can tell me whether an IT CV is good or bad? I have a whiz kid, young but I believe very good and maybe somebody has an opinion. There is a lot of interest in this guy...from the sharks, but I won't let him go unless it is something really worth his while.
