Just tried to add a reply to a TT Summer Lounge Party - Thursday 26.Aug.2004 in the MRC Archive, but I am apparently not allowed to do that.
The post is from 19th December, today is the 24th = 5 days old, is not long.
The "add reply" button is present and activated, but just leads to the error screen.
While the concept of having an MRC archive is good, it appears to be based on the number of posts in MRC rather than the age of the posts. I think it should be possible to add a reply to thread where the last post was less then a week ago.
At times when lots of new threads are being created, having a numbers limit means that even very recent threads land in the archive. At the moment, there are 62 threads in MRC, one of which is closed. These are listed on 4 pages, but the 4th only has 2 threads on it... Maybe a limit of 4 or 5 whole pages = 80 or 100 threads would be better.
Why can't the closed threads pushed to the archive before the others, or even as soon as they are closed? No one can reply to them anyway.
The only work around seem to be creating a new Beer Garden Weather! Chinese Tower: Mon 2.Aug.2004, but that is like the bank adding overdraft charges to your over draft, it just exacerbates the situation.
