As someone else pointed out, it is probably NOT a good idea to combine with a long weekend, as they're often used for going away or having visitors (not sure my parents could see the fun in a Britboard meetup )

I'm easy...nothing planned as yet for that far ahead! Altho I would say maybe not Easter weekend as mentioned before...family visits etc etc. Sounds like lots of fun!

I agree Easter is not a good weekend and while I am iffy about the mayday weekend it could be good for people who are travelling in!!!

I will put all the names into an excel sheet and work out majority over next few days!!!

I wasn't going to say a thing Bro... but if you're coming sailing with me you probably won't make it back for the 22nd/23rd.

No I would say you are just like me and most other people who have been completely overtaken by the world of planning in advance! You see ask me the end of March and it'll surely be different for April!

I blame the airlines, if tickets cost the same six hours in advance as six months in advance then we'd all be able to live fun, spontaneous lives...

Just a thought about organising all this, esp. for those who will have to stay in hotels - Does anyone know if there are any exhibitions at the Frankfurt Messe on these weekends? It can be almost impossible to get a hotel room in Frankfurt when there's a big Messe on, and I'm not sure if there'll be room for all of us to stay at Number10's apartment, even if it is sparkling clean

And my word is it clean!!!

Seriously, i can probably comfortable accommodate 6 people at the apartment - maybe even more at a squeeze and with emergancy bedding !!

I have thought about this and will be taking it into consideration when picking the date!

You cannot catch me out that easily!!!

Oh and on that subject if you are ever looking for a hotel in Frankfurt area during the Messe times I have a few tricks!

There are no Messe's that clash with those dates that I can find...

I think you have all been in this damn country too long.

i think it is more of a 'I will make sure i am not doing anything on that weekend'

it comes from having kids at school and tied to school holidays, plus a hobby that takes up a huge amount of time.

I wish I could be a bit more spontaneous about these sort of things, but booking well in advance is unfortunately the only way.
