I wouldn't get worked up about the free mini-bar, though... They don't make any mention of the contents, do they?
All of the hotels I have stayed at in the last year that advertise a free mini-bar have offered nothing more than soft drinks and occasionally a bottle of beer or two. No wine or spirits

Feb 17 2006, 10:56 am
yep, no spirits... according to some reviews I've read:
QUOTE
The hotel does have a free mini bar. There is 1 bottle of still mineral water, 2 fizzy mineral water, 2 orange juice, and 2 beers.
Sourcebut the oj will come in handy in the morning (or for the gin), and Bombi doesn't drink beer so I'll be alright

Is there a particular place we have to meet?? and what time?? Whatever happens, I will have to leave here early because we'll no doubt get lost and then my Husband will refuse to ask for directions not to mention trying to find a parking garage and by the time we arrive we'll be on the verge of divorce
Still looking forward to coming though!!

Hey at the risk of starting another conversation on hotels, I just found this hotel opposite the station, the Savoy Hotel 4* hotel for 49 Euro which includes buffet breakfast
http://www.savoyhotel.de/Its got a free wellness center if you are into saunas and stuff too. No car parking though, but good for people coming by train!

Ha I have stayed at the Savoy hotel!
Well actually I didn't actually stay there in the end. I had come to Frankfurt for the weekend for a job interview and to have a look around. I was booked into the Savoy. The rooms were a bit grubby for German standards but all in all it was ok. Anyhow they had a problem with the water supply. Problem started while I was in the middle of washing my hair and they were not able to get it fixed. So I moved over to the Meridian Park which was three times the price but well worth it.
This was 6 years ago am sure they do have water back on now though

One advantage is it is just opposite O Reillys.

I've got it!!! A cunning plan! so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a fox!!
As the reason I cant make it, is due to 2 very close friends turning up from the UK.. I am going to take them to the Starkbier fest in Munich... get them totally shitfaced while I drink Apfelschorle...
They will feel as pissed of on Sunday, as I did when I got the bad news!!
Any other suggestions?
