umm...add Bornheim/Nordend to your list...

Then...use the search function to check for "life in Frankfurt"...(don't mean that to sound unfriendly...but there are already loads of threads on this...)

Having lived in Sachsenhausen, Nordend, Westend...I would also say Bornheim/Nordend-Ost.

Anywhere within a 5 minutes walking distance of Berger Strasse would be ideal (but not actually on it unless you do not mind the noise from the late-night bars). This 2km street has every amenity you need - bars, restaurants, shops, takeaways, supermarkets.
The U4 runs directly under this street up until the Bornheim Mitte station.

And Berger Strasse has a couple of nice street festivals in the summer.

It seems that popular areas are City West (near Bockenheim), Westend and Sachsenhausen.

Maybe in ads they say that City West is popular, but it's the first time I hear that. It's a redeveloped area with a mix of modern office and residential buildings, and a bit cut off from Bockenheim by the S-Bahn tracks. As the other posters said, Nordend and Bornheim should be added to your list, the latter being a bit less expensive than the other neighbourhoods.

i'm going to work in niederrad, any idea which districts near Niederadd are nice?

for example Sachsenhausen is not, because it doesn't have good connection with Niederrad + this is closer to center, and i guess i don't need to pay more money to leave close to center if i work far away from it..

since there is an aiport nearby, i don't have huge selection, but any specific ideas? Does Schwanheim and goldstein are nice?

Kelsterbach seems to have good connection, but it lies so close to aiport, that i bet i could hear airplanes every night... Same about Walldorf... and again - Neu-Isenburg seems to have good connection but with center of frankfurt, not with Niederrad, unless i'm missing something.
