Aah yes I remember my first time at a Britboard meet up, I still haven't heard if the police are going to press charges

@Loopy, Try Dornfelder, that is a dry red wine and very cheap. Just don't buy it in Aldi

Sep 6 2005, 8:42 am
sounds like you need a few glasses of vino...

so good job we're going out on Saturday then - do you like the way I got us back on topic

EDIT: beaten to it again, really must learn to type faster

Sep 6 2005, 8:49 am
Hmm, Loopy, but Vino will not be on the menu, as I will be driving into Stutti.
Train is just too expensive. Only if Jannik really wants to, will we take the Train !!
It's his descision.
But it doesn't matter how I get there I won't drink. My responsability is to great for drinking...
Hope that you can understand that.
Hope that I am still welcome.

Just a quick Q. what time did you guys stay out till the last time?
Obviously this question is not directed at Reggie as he was a good boy and left at 2205
Was just wondering as I'm checking out the train times and there is a bit of a gap between the 2218 and the 0136 and then the 0400. Not keen on getting the 0136 as the journey is nearly four hours

but I don't want to be billy no mates and drinking by myself... I don't need to come to Stuttgart for that

Sep 7 2005, 2:29 pm
I wont be able to stay that late, as Jannik will be with me !!!
Loopy
Sep 8 2005, 6:51 pm
it's all gone quiet - are the rest of you still coming out to play?
@Nicole - you mentioned something about maybe being able to reserve a table, is this a possibility?
time for a head count, by my reckoning it's as follows:
Nicole (+ hubby?)
Reggie + pal (possibly late arrival)
Clairey (+ hubby?) and a very big wine glass
me, myself and I
Far-lands + son + pal
Yamster - will be a late arrival due to work

Bunny are you joining us? Would be nice to meet you...
Any more for any more? Just wanted to check if everyone is still coming as I don't want to make a 4-6 hour round trip just to end up drinking by myself - I can walk 2 mins down the road to do that

Sep 8 2005, 8:59 pm
good little number there, but don't seem to be many other kids. I just have to see how long I can keep Jannik amused for. Nicole: are you coming ??
My Pal is called Jon.
Where are we meeting, and what time ??
am still planning on being there as well

might bring someone along, but am not sure yet

Sep 9 2005, 7:12 am
Not too sure if we can make this one. Something has come up and we are trying to work around it right now. We need to go to Kaiserslautern tomorrow and may not be back by 3pm.
@Loopy, I didn't say I could reserve a table, I asked if anyone else knew!! Probably too late now anyway. Last weekend friends of ours went and they said there were quite a few seats free, plus with the kids going back to school on Monday, most parents should be out buying new trainers and pencils and not enjoying themselves drinking wine!

Sep 9 2005, 7:48 am
Well I´m still coming, if thats any incentive for everyone to turn up!!! (probably not!!!) - and I´ll bring my big wine glass too!!
As far as I´m aware the meeting point of 3pm at the bottom of the Hbf escalators hasn´t changed.
@ Loopy, you´re welcome to crash on my bed settee if you´ve got a problem with getting trains back etc

According to one forecast I´ve seen, its supposed to be about 22 degrees and theres a cloud and a sunshine sign depicted - so the forecasters haven´t a clue either.
I´ve a feeling we might get a bit wet though, bring yer brolly!

I'm seriously unimpressed, not least because I have had to drag myself and my hangover out of bed at this uncivilised hour, something has come up that needs sorting out this morning

Hoping to be done by lunchtime in time for the train... the train gets me in a bit before 3 so if I'm not there you can assume that I missed it! If that's the case then I'll probably be in Stutty for 4, so please can someone pm their number so I call and find out where you all are, thanks. If you've not heard from me by 4 then it means I am not coming

and will be the process of throttling someone, but think that will be the worse case senario so hopefully will see you all later
Hope you all have a better morning than I do

So did it ever happen?!?
Coincidentally just logged in for the first time in ages, alright, been busy like :$
But if I did miss out, I'll be well disappointed

Nothing like a good chinwag with other brits over a local wine. Deeply jealous.
If it didn't work out, what about a meet anyway?
