Just wondering where to buy those bottles or tanks of gas... U know the type...

I got one in REAL \ Suma at the Euro Industrie Park where Walmart is but am wondering if there are any places a bit more central that sell 'em. Also - I need one that's more than 6.6Kg!

Ok - found a good site.. Campingaz - Cartridge distributors

Select German - Type in PLZ, and off u go - lots of big gas thingies there too,
along with a map, and list of places in the surrounds that sell gas cylinders.

Through that site I found these people...

Därr Expeditionsservice GmbH
Theresienstr. 66, 80333 München

Should do nicely!

I have some guests staying that need to fill up the butane gas bottle for the cooker in their camper van. So far they have only had luck in Greece where they could get it filled in the gas station. In Italy, they couldnt fill it because its LPG there rather than butane. The petrol stations they have been to so far in germany couldnt help them either.

Anyone know if its possible to get it filled here? If so, where?

We bought a really nice gas grill just a month or so before we found out we were moving to Munich. So, this brings up three questions. Take them in any order.

A. is LP available in Munich?

B. Is grilling on an apartment balcony even allowed?

C. Should we even bother to bring it?

Thanks.

Answers:

A. Never heard of LP. They probably don't sell it here. Not sure. Weber (of course) is the best BBQ brand by far.

B. Grilling is allowed on balconies providing you use an electric grill. If your neighbours aren't bothered you can also grill using a normal gas/propane grill.

C. If you're planning to move into a normal apartment in Munich central then I wouldn't even bother bringing it. If you're moving to the outskirts say Allach or moving into a house/semi then I would bring it along. With that said, I really miss my BBQ!! sad.gif
