Flood control time

Recently I seem to get the flood control error more frequently, sometimes on the first click of a "session". Is is possible that the crash earlier this week may have caused a reset of system parameters?

I was getting it quite often before the crash too.

No, the flood control setting hasn't been changed.

BTW, the server didn't crash. It was up and running all the time - just wasn't accessible because of, I believe, a problem with the DNS entry.

Yeah, I get the spurious flood control message far too often, as you say maaph, sometimes when clicking on the session for the first time in about 10 minutes.

I haven't seen any spurious flood messages recently.

Just an idea...
maaph and neilg are both on the same network (I think?!)
Do you both therefore have the same external IP address? So the board gets 'confused'. Maybe that's why the flood control message is appearing?
Or maybe the network changed at your end...

my thought too after neilg stuck his oar on. He honestly should be getting on with his work, and not flooding my BB session ...

I do not work with them though!
