You'll be lucky to find any seats at 3.30, by the way: the place is pretty small and fills up quickly...

You locals should get there early and reserve seats for us then shouldn't you!

It is in the Altstadt somewhere, but also need the exact direction for the regulars .. but you're right - as much as the written word can sound silly, it did!

See that England are to try a new formation against the Welsh, a 4-5-1. If that doesn't work, they will take off the goalie and change to 0-1-10 ... the 1 only required to retrieve the desperate upfield hoofs

It now looks like we won't be around till the evening, because our guests want to go and see Starlight Express in Bochum (they're getting free tickets).

Well - arrived late - about 5.45 ish - thank God (or Allah/or the moon Goddess/or Beelzebub - musn't offend anyone must we?) I missed the England/Wales match.

My mission was to spot the Britboard crowd from all the other Brits in the Irish Bar cheering on England/Wales. I only had 2 clues, both were Bombi -
a) The only one cheering for Wales
The hair cut

Bingo - I homed in on the group with a woman with that hair & bingo - got'em first time. (sorry Bombi )

Thanks to all for the enjoyable evening. Some highlights would have to be abehalle cutting out the patch on the passing soon to be married womans jeans, exposing her bare faced "cheek", & the 2nd Irish bar of the evening with the Scottish(??) supporters watching the Scotland/Italy game (1:1 - pretty good!), with 1 table wearing an assortment of ladies wigs - of this group 1 wore a gold lame top, one had a very YMCA outfit plus leather cap - & much to disappointment of the 2 ladies 1 flashed his bum while they weren't looking :doh:

PS. Back at MG station at 1.20AM a group of Borussia fans were coming off the train singing "We love you Borussia we do ... " etc - talk about Dinglish :excl:

Hubbi and I enjoyed the afternoon / evening too.

Vloid has forgotten to mention Maaph's desperate attempts to get a bar maid's phone number (not sucessful BTW)!

Ooops, I should have warned you all that I actually went to the hairdressers' on Thursday and the length of my hair is much shorter now than in recent BB pictures!

Vloid you also forgot to mention that Neil also managed to make it arriving just before 8pm.

Sorry - yes I did mean bbulldog. I woke up this morning & realised right away, came down & logged on, hoping to change it before anyone saw - but too late. A case of the yamyams - TWT (Typing While Tight)

As for maaph, I was being discrete. But now that Bombi mentions it I can "exclusively reveal" that persistance pays off, & while he may not have got her number he did get her photo later on, & promised to post it here
(He got her to agree to pose - in perfect English she said "If I must".)

@ Bombi - nothing wrong with the hair before or after BTW - just a handy landmark.

Well a very enjoyable day we had yesterday.

I must also mention Egg Chaser too. He had to go to Starlight and phoned me up as we were on our way home. Still next time.

It was indeed a brilliant night. Chocolate / water / tablet was waiting for me when I got home, but I "forgot" to take them, with the result of splitting headache at 5am.

I was my normal quiet self at the do, but at the insistance of all around, had to repeatedly ask for the barmaids telephone number. Poor girl wanted to give it to me, but with all of the onlookers was a little embarassed.
