British Fair and Country Days in Krefeld

Anyone planning on being there on Sunday?

We're picking Veela and BBulldog up at 10am so we should get there for around 11, just in time to have a walk around and then have those wonderful F & Cs...

here's an admission .. in Cologne I ate F&Cs with everyone else .. even though I don't like F ... at all!

well if we wouldnt have ordered 7 F & C's we wouldnt have got anything at all..
when Bombis hubby asked if food was still on they said no, when i asked 2 minuted later if we could order 7 F & C's she said 'of course you can' maybe i should have chatted up the barmaid

I manged to get there on Sunday.

Was ok, but had expected a bit more, and waiting for half and hour for fish and chips was a bit excessive, and the price for such a small piece of fish too, i think they had to reduce the size of the fillets as they hadn't planned for so many people.

Picked up some brochures, an axe (very british!), a bag of fudge and some salt and vinegar crisps.

Weather was typically british though

No,we didn't get the fügenkrater, wife spent 5 minutes looking at them though, but managed to get away without one, which is good as we dont have any fügen (except in the bathroom, and it looked a bit excessive for that).

Yes, I read that here before we went, but figured if it was normall, why havn't they done something about it, like have 2 fish and chips stands?
The guy there this year said it was his first year there, so didn't realise there would have been so much demand.
Not many people at the bratwurst stand though.

...to be fair to the fish and chip man, he did mention to us that he was running at half capacity because his 2nd fryer was out of service as the chap who repaired it fitted an gas connector with a righ-hand thread and the gas bottles have a left-hand thread, he was asking everyone ifn they had any tools with them

Yeah I saw them...also saw the bags under my eyes...infact you cant miss them. Must have been the 2.5 hour drive I had.
