Does anyone know how you join sport teams in the Frankfurt area? I'm up for co-ed or all female, and would prefer a team w/ at least a few English-speakers, but I don't mind playing with all Germans. I'm especially interested in volleyball or soccer (I mean "football"--forgive me, I'm American!) :$
Thanks!!

cee-jay, i know a guy in Frankfurt (an Australian, but you can't have everything can, you?) who is currently trying to put together a co-ed touch rugby team. I have actually just come back from a touch tournament in Brussels where he joined our Munich team in the mixed section. We had 6 girls and 9 guys on the team. It was great fun, i am sure you would enjoy it as well. It doesn't matter if you have never played before, most girls on our team hadn't before they joined.
if you would like to know more about touch check out these websites:
Federation of International TouchTouch DeutschlandIf you would like to get in touch (no pun intended) with the guy, i can pass on his telephone number and eMail address.
Just came across this board today...
I organise an indoor (5 or 6-a-side) game every Sunday at 12 noon (good cure for any hangover) with an eclectic mix of nationalities and varying abilities. But only guys.
We play at the Deutsche Bank Sportzentrum in Eschborn.
If interested I can add you onto to the evite.com mailing list that I have setup.
Cheers.

Jay,
I would be interested in playing on a Sunday.
Whats the average age and standard like- I dont want a heart attack.
Tommy
Tommy,
Average age is now 30 to 35.
And standard varies but we only play for fun, nothing too serious. A couple can dribble quite well but most of the rest are just 'ok'.
Playing indoor for the first time can be hard, though. Can take a couple of weeks to get into it. You are welcome to give it a go.
During the summer months we struggle for numbers, but during the winter can get quite full. When we have too many we switch to 2 hours so we can rotate the players.
Jay.

Hello Jay,
Actually I would like to join you. I am originally Spanish and I have been playing all year in Frankfurt with some people from the company.
Could you please let me know if it would be possible?
