Flights from Scotland to Stuttgart

Hi

I´ve just recently moved to Stuttgart. Any one else live near here? What airline do you all fly home with (assuming some of you actually visit Britain now and then!) I´m looking for a flight for my mother from either Glasgow or Edinburgh, but none of the usual suspects fly direct to Stuttgart. Anybody help?

I know it's not exactly round the corner (ok it's 255km if you want to be exact) but Ryanair fly to Frankfurt Hahn from Prestwick for a very resonable fare

Whenever I fly back to YooKay, I fly with Hapag-Lloyd Express from Stuttgart to Manchester, and then get a train over the Pennines to God's country. I'm flying in only a couple of weeks, and paid €5.95 for the flight there, and €0.01 back (with taxes it comes to just short of €40 in total).

I'm just on the edges of Stuttgart too welcome to the Britboard . A bit of a journey but she could go Ryanair or Easyjet Glasgow/Edinburgh to Stansted (the Armpit of Essex) and then Stansted to Stuttgart via Germanwings. Although by the time you muck about , it would probably be cheaper to have her fly BA or Lufthansa on one of their specials. Sometimes I weigh up all the extra hassle and then pay the extra for virtually guaranteed take off slots and a decent journey rather than some of the cowboy merchants. Luckily my Parents live 30 minutes from Stansted so I take Germanwings out of Stuttgart.

I always fly with BA directly from Stutty to Birmingham, you can than get flights up to to Edinburgh from Brum.

Failing that I would suggest flying with Lufthansa from Edinburgh to Frankfurt and then Frankfurt to Stutty either flying or on the Lufthansa train. LH are a bit pricier but then if you miss your connection you´ll get rebooked on the next flight - a quality airline, but then I work for them so I´ve got to say that!!!

Don't BMI (British Midland?) do a Stuttgart to Edinburgh flight? I am pretty sure they do.

BMI codeshare with Lufthansa and go through Heathrow.
