I didn't believe this until I saw the poster in Karlsruhe today. Not sure how much they will play, advertised as "british last night of the proms" but assume must be a few of the old favourites, poster stamped with the union flag on it, no idea of the costs.

Cannot see it working, but they must have done their research, would any German people on this forum actually bother if this event was anywhere near to them?

I can't picture a bunch of german guys and girls waving the union flag singing rule brittania, shouting for the usual encore, and land of hope and glory, and then finally standing to the national anthem, then lighting up the sky with standard fireworks cheering manically. Is there some kind of global anglo-germanic goings on this summer or what?

You might be surprised - the last night of the proms gets a pretty big audience each year.
