Hiya
the prices will make you weep but...SIMON & GARFUNKEL! IN MUNICH!See them before/while they still hate each other.
Bloody dear though (for that much money I'd do a concert with almost anyone though).
And The Cure will be playing the Lorelei which will look amazing (eventim also have tickets for this).

l'd like to go (grew up with my mother always playing S&G in the car on way to school) but l see what you mean about the price, ouch! Would hope they would play in my living rooom for that much..
l saw paul simon at the olmpiahalle a couple of years ago and he was terrific. Will have to think about it but it looks like the only chance l'd ever get to see them together. It may be tricky persuading my mates to fork out that much though. If anyone here is seriously up for it then let me know - and let me know about the concert too arf arf.

Do you get a refund if one of them croaks before the gig?
> A young man walks onto the stage of Stars in their Eyes,

>
> Matthew Kelly introduces him as Simon.
> 'It's very brave of you to come out here,' says Matthew.
> 'Please tell the audience what happened?
>
> 'Well' replies Simon 'about a year ago, I was driving
> with my uncle when we had a really bad accident.
> Unfortunately my uncle was killed outright but I
> survived. I was trapped in the car for six hours before I

> 'The doctors had me in surgery for 12 hours but they

>
> 'That's terrible. But I see you have legs now. Are they

>
> 'No Matthew, while I was in hospital the doctors

> legs were fine and with all the advances in medical
> science, they could graft his legs onto my body.
> The operation was successful. I have been having
> physiotherapy for six months and hope to be walking fully

>
> A huge round of applause erupts from the audience.
> 'That's an unbelievable story. So, who are you going to
> be?'
>
> 'Tonight, Matthew, I am going to be Simon and Halfuncle'

I have no clue why, but I really thought (for years now) that Art Garfunkel had died. Anybody else under this false illusion?
I am delighted to find out that he is still alive and kicking and would LOVE to go and see them. Prices are quite hefty though. Will check the olde bank balance once I have been paid and see whats left...

I don't know actually - I'm gonna do a Google hunt later. I have some horrid recollection that the doors open at something daft like 6 or 7pm. I'll post up here later if I find out. As for what block I'm in - I have no idea - near the front though apparently.

I can only find 20:30 as a time, but I'll aim to be in there by 8 i think. And thanks Chris 4th - on the upside mate, at least you didn't have to sell your children in Bangkok to finance it.

sorry for the late reply
but apparently in dublin, they came on at 8:30pm and the everly brothers played in the middle. And then did a few songs together.

Which is pretty much what happened last night pablo - and for the record they were fabulous - the atmosphere (particularly for Germany) was great. Even the Everley Brothers were quite good, and I don't really like them. Great show - those who didn't go did miss out.

yep jimbo, l thought they were great too - they looked a bit old but then l guess there's a good reason for that!
they did 2 encores which was 2 more than james brown
just out of interest, if anyone was listening on the hill, can you let me know what the sound was like -just for future reference. looked pretty nice up there and if l wasn't too fussed about paying for the next band to play then l would consider it

Had a walk about outside, sound wasn't amazing but 'America' was great. Should have bought a fecking ticket.
Don't know what it would have been like on the hill, a bit quiet probably & those crickets are noisey mfs.

Great show? It was amazing! Getting our groove on with two complete legends from the sixties, and then on top of that being able to see the Everly Brothers, who were fabulous! Last night will stay with me forever.

I was listening by the lake on the south side of the stadium. Could hear every word brilliantly! Think that's a well-known spot as a lot of Müncheners were there also.
