Spent another pleasant evening, in good company, at the Hopfensack Inn in Mulheim.

It really is a shame that some of you cannot make the effort to attend the regular meet-ups here, and also at The Irish Pub. The drinks are reasonable and the banter is always interesting and varied. Come on, give it a shot.

Next Meet-up at "Hopfen-Sack" in Mülheim an der Ruhr on Tuesday 19.Jul.2005, starting at 8pm.

"Hopfen-Sack" is about five minutes away from the main railway station ("Hauptbahnhof") and is located on the corner of Hingbergstrasse and Kalkstrasse.

Coming from the station, head for the Post Office, walk past the Post Office, cross the footbridge and Hopfensack is on your first street corner on the right. Ask for the "Social Club Mülheim".

Hi, Raffles! You seem to be the early bird while I'm more of a night owl ... see you on the 19th!

Hopefully, our new English friend from Essen, our new Canadian friend from Mülheim and our young (long lost) Ukranian friend from Mülheim will be there as well. Could be quite an international gathering again.

Good turn-out on Monday, but only two Brits ... myself and Greg. Would like to see a few new faces this Thursday at The Irish Pub meet, Mulheim. Park in the square of the Rathhause... the pub is only 50 metres away. Hope to see you.

The aim is to bring English-speaking people of different nationalities and from different cultures together on a social basis.

English-speakers of all varieties are welcome (i.e. those who, apparently, invented the language and those who, for the last 200 years or so , have copied it! All continents accepted!). Englishmen welcome only if they accept the recent happenings at Wembley as another brilliant performance by a German national football team (and not just a streak of bad luck for the England team). Only joking!!!

Other English-speaking nutters of all nationalities are welcome to join us there.
