Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a tin of unsweetned rubarb around Stuttgart.

Thanks

I dont live in Stuttgart but I would try one of the bigger stores because they seem to have most things that the LIDL ALDI and co dont have. From my experience also, the store @ Karstadt seems to be stocked with some foods that are harder to get hold of. Are you making a Rhubarb crumble then? My mouth is watering already; one of my favourite deserts. When's the rhubarb season then? It cant be too far off. I made quite some crumbles last year when I was living in Ulm. hope it tastes nice

Try the English shop, If they don't have it they will get it for you.

I'd never come across anybody else before who's familiar with that combination, but it was one of my grandad's favourite after-dinner snacks. It's great. Or a nice crumbly Wensleydale...

Yep used to have that too, my neighbor used to spread Philly cream cheese on her apples, it's actually pretty good.

Do you mean the 'chickpea paste' stuff? Absolutely no idea, & yes it probably does have some really weird name. tongue.gif

And would you stop talking about Rhubarb crumble, I'm drooling over my keyboard tongue.gif

For the Rhubard, don't you have a farmers market anywhere near you?
Rebecca
Try Minimal for hummus.

Oh yes and houmous is normally houmous although I did once see it as Kicherbsenpaste.
leky
Actually, I just remembered seeing it in Edeka, but it was spelt Hummus & it was in the dairy section with the Feta cheese.

Where do you get tahini?
Neil
Hi Suzi,

you'll find it in most of the Turkish shops in Hagen, even our local REWE in Grundschöttel has it ! ( it's a fine paste made from Roasted Sesame seeds)
